*Correspondence: [email protected] 2Department of Mathematics Education, Seowon University, Cheongju, 28674, South Korea Full list of author information is available at the end of the article Abstract In this paper, we are concerned with the general decay result of the quasi-linear wave equation for Kirchhoff type containing Balakrishnan-Taylor damping with a delay in the boundary feedback and a...
متن کاملEnergy decay of dissipative plate equations with memory-type boundary conditions
In this paper we consider a plate equation with internal feedback and viscoelastic damping localized on a part of the boundary. Without imposing restrictive assumptions on the time-dependent frictional damping, we establish an explicit and general decay rate result that allows a wider class of relaxation functions and generalizes previous results existing in the literature.
متن کاملGeneral Decay Rate Estimate for the Energy of a Weak Viscoelastic Equation with an Internal Time-varying Delay Term
In this paper we consider the weak viscoelastic equation with an internal time-varying delay term u tt (x, t)−Δu(x, t)+α(t) t 0 g(t−s)Δu(x, s) ds+a 0 u t (x, t)+a 1 u t (x, t−τ (t)) = 0 in a bounded domain. By introducing suitable energy and Lyapunov functionals, under suitable assumptions, we establish a general decay rate estimate for the energy, which depends on the behavior of both α and g.
متن کاملOutput feedback stabilization for multi-dimensional Kirchhoff plate with general corrupted boundary observation
We consider boundary output feedback stabilization for a multi-dimensional Kirchhoff plate with boundary observation suffered from a general external disturbance. We adopt for the first time the active disturbance rejection control approach to stabilization of multi-dimensional partial differential equations under corrupted output feedback. In terms of this approach, the disturbance is estimate...
متن کاملCooling of a Plate with General Boundary Conditions
We consider steady state temperature distribution in a homogeneous rectangular infinite plate the lower part of which is cooled by a fluid flowing at a constant velocity while the upper part satisfies the general mixed boundary conditions. The Wiener-Hopf method has been used to obtain the solution in the infinite series form and some special cases have been discussed.
